COVER REVEAL: Capturing the Stowaway

Good afternoon everyone!

I’m extremely excited to have the cover of my first novella, Capturing the Stowaway ready to share with you today! As some of you may know, in addition to writing, I’m also an artist and have been creating the book covers for my Captured Hearts of Keldonia novella series. This particular cover was created by yours truly and it is my greatest hope that you love it as much as I do!

Had this cover art been the work of another artist, it would be so much easier for me to gush on about how gorgeous it is for at least another paragraph. That said, I did put a lot of love into creating this cover and I’m super excited with how it turned out. I’ve been working hard writing this novella series for a while now, so to have my hot hands on the cover of my first fiction book feels amazing. I really hope you enjoy it!

And now, for the grand reveal…

wait for it…

keep scrolling, almost there…

I’m so happy and excited! This cover fits the story and the characters, Brienna and Rowan, so perfectly!

A quick synopsis of the book

Captain Rowan Greymont is a fearsome pirate who is married to the sea and his ship, The Onyx Crow. Brienna Hartworth is a farmer’s daughter from a small town, on a quest to return home and save her father’s life. Fate brings these two together when Brienna boards Rowan’s ship as a stowaway, and her discovery leads to a whirlwind of challenges. Together they must travel across the wild seas of Keldonia, a war-torn realm of ancient magic and intrigue. While both on separate missions of the utmost importance, an unexpected bond begins to form between them. Can love prevail for this unlikely couple when duty and lives are at stake?

About the author – Lydia Crane

Lydia Crane is a freelancing Jill-of-all-trades, but above all, she enjoys crafting a good story. You can easily find Lydia locked in her office, eagerly drumming away at a keyboard while everyone else is out doing normal things. If you press your ear to the door of her writing room, you might even hear the dreadful cry of purple prose, desperately clinging to life as she slices it from her latest manuscript. An easier way of finding Lydia is simply by sending her a message or following her on Facebook and Twitter.

She also feels very awkward when writing about herself in third-person, so that’s going to stop now.

In all seriousness, my writing journey began at around age ten when I got my first typewriter as a gift in the early 1990’s. Since then, I’ve devoted about twenty years to the craft for both leisure and work, with over a decade of that time spent writing freelance web content. It feels like I’ve been writing for a lifetime and depending on your age, that may be true.

I’m a do-it-yourself type, so in 2015 I wrote and self-published my first non-fiction work under a pen name. The most important thing I discovered during that year was that I had what it takes to be a full-time writer. In 2016, I finally answered the request of a few imaginary characters by plotting a fiction series to tell their stories. The first of these romance novellas are slated for their debut release in the Spring of 2017.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy introverted things like compulsive reading, online gaming and hosting low-key hangouts at my place with friends and family. My favorite indulgences include ultra-light beer, pinning recipes I’ll never cook, and owning far too many pairs of those buttery leggings. As a priority, I try to keep a small garden alive in the scorching desert of Arizona along with a few home-schooled kids, a husband, a husky and a handful of housecats. Now say that, five times, fast.
